Discounted Products To Be Found At The Thailand Shopping Festival

The government of Thailand is finding ways in order to stimulate the economic growth of the country and one event they are going to launch is geared toward the same purpose. The event is called Thailand Shopping Festival which will be held on August since it is the month wherein the Mother’s Day is celebrated in Thailand. The event is made possible by the partnership of the Commerce Ministry and the Tourism Authority of Thailand as well as some private enterprises that are part of the event. The event is also a part of the Pracha Rath scheme of the Thai government. Pracha Rath means State of the People.

According to Apiradi Tantraporn, the current Minster of Commerce, the economy of the nation should be greater on the second half compared to the first half as a sign that it is growing stronger. The government is now launching different events and methods in order to stimulate the growth of the nation’s economy and one of this is the shopping festival. The festival will offer discounts to consumers and there will also be a low price fair during the event.

The Thailand Shopping Festival will take place in various department stores, wholesale shops, retail shops and modern trade branches that are located in different parts of the country. The shoppers will be able to enjoy discounts ranging from 20 to 40 per cent.

Another event which will be organized by the government is the Thong Fa Therd Phra Kiat which is a low price fair to commemorate the celebration of the 84th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. The event will be held at the Impact Muang Thong Thani and there will be discounts in different consumer goods, fruits and vegetables as well as food.

On other news, OTOP items or One Tambon, One Product items and products coming from small to medium businesses will be displayed on sale at different tourist spots such as Phuket, Bangkok, Songkhla, Ubon Ratchathani Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Udon Thani and Surat Thani. They may also be seen on the way to Labua Resort in Hua Hin.
