The bird list is on the right-hand side of the outings/bird log screen and shows a list of birds.  The list will  dynamically update as you enter a common name in the sightings grid.  This makes it easier to find a particular bird when entering using common names.  To make the data entry quicker, you can also enter band codes in the common name field and the software will automatically convert them to common names.

To add a bird from the list to the sightings log, just double-click a bird in the list.
